Three B’s of Extreme Kink Footwear – Ballet, Boots, Bondage

Kinky shoes and boots are a staple of any fetish wardrobe, but bondage ballet boots are one of the trickier pairs to wrap your head/feet around. Here is a simple guide on how to wear them without tripping, falling, and a possible trip to the hospital…

WHAT ARE THEY?


Bondage ballet boots are fetish wear modeled after the look ballerinas have when they are “en pointe” (a pointed toe and all the body weight resting on them). Instead of boxes, shanks, and satin, you have latex, leather, or PVC with the addition of a sky-high heel.

WALKING IN THEM


It’s not impossible – ballerinas kick ass in them, after all. But, similar to them, you’ll need time and patience. It’s not something to rush.

Hence, the first tip…

1. Practice, practice, practice.

2. The second tip is also easy – put some padding in the toe. This is where you can differ from the dancers. You can also use ANY padding that you prefer.

3. Keep your toenails trimmed. You don’t want anything extra pushing into your body.

4. Tie them up tightly. Not to the point of cutting off circulation, but they should be fairly snug so you have as much support as possible.

5. Start off slow. Just like the kids learning to skate or dance, start by propping yourself up by holding the back of a chair or a pole – anything stable you can grab. You should also limit how much you wear them to less than 30 minutes per day while you build endurance.

6. Another important thing to remember is to take SMALL steps. These aren’t running shoes. They force you to take petite strides.

7. Heel, toe, heel, toe. The same steps as any high heel.

8. Get extra help. I saw one other tip I found very useful – take classes. This can be anything that helps you improve your balance. Yoga, or, you guessed it, ballet.

BUYING THEM


The general consensus is to buy one to two sizes larger than your normal shoe. But, I would highly recommend that you find a place where you can try them on. They are certainly not the kind of shoe to buy off of Amazon.

Also, pay close attention to the heel and general construction. Yes, they are always expensive, but that doesn’t mean you’re always getting quality.

There are significant differences between the support from ankle-length vs. knee-length, but not much more when you get into thigh-highs (then it just becomes about appearance). However, I would still suggest getting the ankle ones to start – no point in spending extra money on something you might not like.

BE CAREFUL


Because of the excessive force these put on your feet and ankles (and secondary pressure on other joints and muscles) – not to mention the balancing act – you obviously need to be VERY careful when practicing and wearing them during parties or play. Even if you’re a veteran, don’t disregard the power of the ballet boot!
